Jeff and Marissa Lee

Mitchell, South Dakota

Jeff is originally from Menno and Marissa is a native of Mitchell. The couple met through mutual friends who eventually served as the best man and maid-of-honor in the Lee’s 1996 wedding.

Marissa has been a nurse for 29 years and cares for and educates women at Dakota Women’s Clinic alongside Dr. Michael Krause. In 2019, during the height of the pandemic, Marissa opened an online boutique, Hello Beautiful 605. Marissa states, “I believe that my store is an extension of my nursing career. I love to help women find what they feel beautiful in.” You may see Marissa with merchandise around Mitchell or the surrounding communities as she occasionally does ‘pop-up’ events. As an advent runner, she has completed multiple half and full marathons. She also enjoys travelling, scrapbooking, and is a self-proclaimed, ‘foodie’ and she loves good food.

Throughout his 26-year career as a Physical Therapist, Jeff has served many LifeQuest clients. “It has been both a pleasure and a blessing to be a part of the care of so many exceptional individuals,” Jeff says. Like Marissa, Jeff also makes running and exercise a constant in his day. He enjoys hiking, bike riding, and working in their yard, attending bible studies, and singing on the worship team at the Harvest Community Church in Mitchell.

Jeff is a board member and a leader for Mitchell Chapter of Celebrate Recovery. Jeff explains the program in this way, “Celebrate Recovery is a program that helps people with their hurts, habits, hang-ups, or addictions of any kind. It is a life changing program founded upon a 12 -step process complemented by 8 biblical based principles. Celebrate Recovery has changed my life in more ways than I can describe.”

The couple raised four sons: The oldest son, Cristian is a physical therapist for Sanford in Sioux Falls; Colby works at Vantage Point and recently married Kelsey; Caleb also works at Vantage Point; and the youngest son, Carter, is a high school sophomore participating in soccer, basketball, and track.
